How Saveo Processes Media Links
Published 2026-08-08
Saveo processes a link in a short, well-defined pipeline: resolve, preview, download, delete. This guide walks through each stage and what it means for your privacy.
What this guide covers
The four stages of a download, where your data sits at each stage, and what the service does not do.
Stage 1: resolve
You paste a link. Saveo asks the platform's public endpoint what the link points to, checks the platform against its supported set, and reports a clear error for anything outside it — private content, unsupported types, removed posts.
Stage 2: preview
The resolved media is listed with previews before you download anything. You decide which files to take — you never download blind.
Stage 3: download
You pick files or a ZIP bundle. Media is served to your browser from temporary storage and the files land in your own machine.
Stage 4: delete
Temporary files are removed shortly after the download finishes. There is no download history, no account, and no permanent library of what you saved.
What Saveo does not do
It does not host, republish, or resell media. It does not bypass private accounts or access controls. It is not affiliated with Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Douyin, or YouTube. The queue you see on the page exists only in your browser session.
What Saveo supports
Public links from all five platforms with preview-before-download, quality selection where available, ZIP bundles, and MP3 extraction.

How long are downloaded files kept?
Files are processed temporarily and removed shortly after your download finishes. Saveo keeps no download history.
Is the pasted link stored anywhere?
The link is used to resolve the media and is not kept beyond the request lifecycle.
