How to Copy a Video Link on Mobile

Every major social app exposes a Copy link action in its share sheet. This guide shows where to find it on iPhone and Android for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.

Step-by-step: copy a link (all platforms)

  1. Open the post, video, Reel, or Short you want to save.
  2. Tap the Share button (arrow icon, usually on the right side of the screen).
  3. In the share sheet, tap Copy link (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook) or Copy (YouTube).
  4. The link is now on your clipboard — paste it into Saveo's downloader for that platform.

Platform-specific behavior

  • Instagram: Share → Copy link. Reel links contain /reel/, photo posts /p/.
  • TikTok: Share → Copy link. Short links (vm.tiktok.com, vt.tiktok.com) are fine.
  • Facebook: Share → Copy link. Watch links contain /watch?v=.
  • YouTube: Share → Copy. Shorts links contain /shorts/.

Common problems

A copied link fails when it is not the public post link — for example a link copied from inside a private conversation or a private account. On desktop, the address bar URL is the same link and works the same way.

Where is the Copy link option in each app?
